Formula and methodology
Project area equals length × width. Paver area uses converted paver dimensions. Base count is project area ÷ paver area; waste is applied before rounding up.
Worked example
A 12 by 10 ft area is 120 sq ft. A 12 by 6 inch paver is 0.5 sq ft, so 240 become 264 with 10% waste.
Assumptions and limitations
Joint widths, patterns, curves, restraints, cuts, base layers, breakage, and package quantities are not modeled.
